Steel Tubular Rivets Suppliers

● Tubular rivets are used to fasten duct work or assemble mechanical products and electronics. Tubular rivets have a hollow shaft to reduce the amount of force required to apply them. Rivets with a hollow tip are called semi tubular. Both types can be affixed loosely to function as a pivot point. Tubular rivets are applied with a rivet gun or an automated rivet machine. Because of their light weight and weak head, hollow rivets are used for riveting of nonmetallic materials with little load.

● We support customized and can also manufacture non-standard fasteners according to your drawings.

Advantages of Using Steel Tubular Rivets in Various Applications

Steel tubular rivets are a type of fastener that is used to connect two or more pieces of material together. They are similar to other types of rivets in that they consist of a head, a shank, and a tail, but they differ in that the shank is hollow, or tubular, rather than solid. This design provides several advantages over other types of rivets, including increased strength, durability, and ease of use.

One of the primary advantages of steel tubular rivets is their strength. Because the shank is hollow, it is able to expand more than a solid rivet, creating a tight and secure joint. This increased strength makes steel tubular rivets ideal for use in applications where a high level of structural integrity is required, such as in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other large-scale projects.

Another advantage of steel tubular rivets is their durability. Because they are made of steel, they are able to withstand extreme temperatures, exposure to chemicals, and other harsh environmental conditions. This makes them ideal for use in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, including in the aerospace, automotive, and marine industries.

In addition to their strength and durability, steel tubular rivets are also easy to install. They can be set using a standard rivet setting tool, which makes them ideal for use in applications where time and efficiency are important factors. This ease of use also makes them a popular choice for DIY projects and small-scale repairs.

Steel tubular rivets are available in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and finishes to suit different applications. They can be made from a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, depending on the specific requirements of the application. They can also be coated with different materials, such as zinc or nickel, to provide additional corrosion resistance.

Finish Options for Steel Tubular Rivets and Their Impact

Steel tubular rivets are a popular fastener choice due to their strength, versatility, and ease of installation. However, the finish of the rivets can also play an important role in the overall appearance, durability, and performance of the final product. There are several finish options available for steel tubular rivets, each with its own unique benefits and drawbacks.

(1)Zinc Plating

Zinc plating is a common finish option for steel tubular rivets. It provides a thin layer of zinc on the surface of the rivet, which helps to protect it from corrosion and rust. Zinc plating also gives the rivet a shiny, metallic appearance, which can be desirable for certain applications. However, zinc plating may not be suitable for use in harsh or corrosive environments, as it can wear off over time.

(2)Black Oxide

Black oxide is another popular finish option for steel tubular rivets. It involves the application of a chemical solution to the surface of the rivet, which creates a black, matte finish. Black oxide can provide excellent corrosion resistance and is often used in applications where the rivet will be exposed to harsh environments or high levels of moisture. It also has the added benefit of reducing glare, which can be important in certain applications.

(3)Nickel Plating

Nickel plating is a finish option that provides a thin layer of nickel on the surface of the steel tubular rivet. This can provide excellent corrosion resistance, as nickel is highly resistant to rust and oxidation. Nickel plating can also give the rivet a bright, shiny appearance, which can be desirable for certain applications. However, nickel plating can be more expensive than other finish options, and may not be necessary for all applications.

(4)Hot-Dip Galvanizing

Hot-dip galvanizing is a finish option that involves the immersion of the steel tubular rivet in a bath of molten zinc. This creates a thick, durable layer of zinc on the surface of the rivet, which provides excellent corrosion resistance. Hot-dip galvanizing can also provide a rough, textured surface, which can be desirable for certain applications. However, it is important to note that hot-dip galvanizing can be a more expensive and time-consuming finish option than other options.
