Custom Kevlar Clutch Facing Suppliers

● The main materials of this series consists of ordinary medium-alkali (alkali-free) glass fiber, aramid blend fiber, 2 pieces of 0.17 copper wire of aramid composite cloth, imported styrene-butadiene rubber 1502, high decomposition phenolic resin and different kinds of friction modifier. The products adopt the conventional rubber soaking technology. Due to the low density of aramid, the eccentricity is eased and wear resistance is improved. The characteristic of quicker reduction of high temperature increases the strength of the products. This product is the high grade product that has been developed in recently years. It is mainly used in overloaded cars, off-road vehicles, coaches and buses. The main varieties include: FST008, FST009, etc.

Does Kevlar Clutch Facing Require any Specific Maintenance to Ensure Performance?

Maintaining and caring for Kevlar clutch facing can contribute to its optimal performance and longevity. While Kevlar clutch facings are known for their durability, it is still important to follow proper maintenance practices. Here are some specific considerations for maintaining Kevlar clutch facing:

(1)Avoid Excessive Heat: Kevlar clutch facings have excellent heat resistance, but prolonged exposure to excessive heat can still affect their performance. Avoid situations that can lead to extreme heat buildup, such as excessive clutch slippage or riding the clutch for extended periods. Excessive heat can cause glazing, hardening, or degradation of the kevlar material, resulting in reduced friction and potential clutch slipping.

(2)Proper Lubrication: Ensure the clutch release mechanism and related components are properly lubricated. Adequate lubrication helps prevent excessive wear and ensures smooth clutch engagement and disengagement. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the type and frequency of lubrication required for the specific clutch system.

(3)Regular Inspections: Periodically inspect the clutch system, including the kevlar clutch facing, for signs of wear, damage, or contamination. Look for any oil or fluid leaks that may come into contact with the clutch facing, as this can affect its performance. Address any issues promptly to prevent further damage and ensure optimal clutch operation.

(4)Cleanliness: Keep the clutch system and surrounding areas clean to prevent the accumulation of debris, dirt, or contaminants. If any foreign substances come into contact with the clutch facing, it is important to clean them off promptly using appropriate cleaning agents recommended by the manufacturer. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the kevlar material.

(5)Smooth Clutch Operation: Practice smooth and controlled clutch operation techniques. Avoid harsh engagement or disengagement that can cause excessive wear on the clutch facing. Smooth-shifting and gradual clutch engagement reduce stress on the Kevlar material, promoting its longevity.

(6)Professional Maintenance: If you suspect any issues with the clutch system or notice abnormal clutch behavior, it is advisable to consult a qualified professional or mechanic with expertise in clutch systems. They can conduct a thorough inspection, diagnose any problems, and provide appropriate maintenance or repairs as needed.

What are the Advantages of Using Kevlar Clutch Facing?

Using Kevlar clutch facing offers several advantages that make it a popular choice for various applications. Here are the key advantages of using Kevlar clutch facing:

(1)High Heat Resistance: Kevlar clutch facing exhibits excellent heat resistance, making it capable of withstanding high temperatures generated during clutch engagement and disengagement. It can dissipate heat efficiently, minimizing the risk of thermal damage and ensuring consistent performance even in demanding operating conditions.

(2)Enhanced Durability: Kevlar is known for its exceptional strength and durability. Kevlar clutch facing can withstand heavy loads, high RPMs, and repeated engagements without significant wear or degradation. Its robust construction contributes to an extended lifespan, reducing the need for frequent clutch replacements and lowering maintenance costs.

(3)High Friction Coefficient: Kevlar clutch facing offers a high friction coefficient, which ensures strong gripping power and effective torque transfer. This results in improved clutch engagement and disengagement, enabling smooth and precise shifting. The high friction coefficient also enhances the overall drivability and performance of the vehicle.

(4)Lightweight Design: Kevlar clutch-facing is lightweight compared to many other clutch-facing materials. Its low weight contributes to reduced rotational inertia, resulting in faster clutch response and improved acceleration. The lightweight nature of the kevlar clutch facing also helps in reducing the overall weight of the clutch assembly, contributing to enhanced fuel efficiency.

(5)Consistent Performance: Kevlar clutch facing provides consistent performance throughout its lifespan. It maintains its frictional characteristics, ensuring reliable clutch engagement and disengagement over time. This consistency allows for predictable clutch operation, promoting driver control and confidence.

(6)Versatility: Kevlar clutch facing is suitable for both dry and wet clutch systems, offering versatility in various automotive and industrial applications. It can effectively operate in different environments and lubrication conditions, providing consistent performance across a range of applications.

(7)Environmental Sustainability: Kevlar is a synthetic material that can be recycled, contributing to environmental sustainability. Recycling kevlar clutch facings helps conserve resources and reduces waste. The eco-friendly nature of Kevlar supports sustainable practices in the automotive and manufacturing industries.

(8)Resistance to Glazing and Fading: Kevlar clutch facing exhibits resistance to glazing and fading. It maintains its frictional properties over time, reducing the likelihood of clutch slipping due to glazed or worn facings. This contributes to consistent performance and extends the lifespan of the clutch assembly.
