Summary:

Introduction and types of rivets

Commonly used are R-type rivets, fan rivets, blind rivets (blind rivets), tree rivets, semi-circular head, flat head, semi-hollow rivets, solid rivets, countersunk head rivets, blind rivets, hollow rivets, these are usually used Self-deformation connection is riveted. Generally less than 8 mm with cold riveting, larger than this size with hot riveting. But there are exceptions. For example, the nameplate on some locks is riveted by the interference between the rivet and the lock body hole.

R-type plastic rivets, also known as expansion rivets, are composed of plastic sub-nails and female buckles. It does not need to use installation tools during installation, place the installed base in the smooth hole, and then press the head, the specially designed feet expand and stretch after being stressed, and are firmly locked on the installation surface. It is often used to connect plastic shells, lightweight boards, insulating materials, circuit boards, or any other thin, lightweight materials, beautiful and practical, and easy to use.

Fan rivets are specially designed for manual installation. They can be pulled in through the holes of the panel or the bottom frame. They are made of elastomer material with good toughness and can be installed quickly even in interference assembly. The design is clever and has elastic function. It is not easy to slide out after being pulled in with the corresponding aperture. The fan rivets are mainly used in the fixing of electronic computer case fans, heat sinks, and chips, with anti-vibration and noise reduction.

The core rivet is a new type of riveting fastener that is very convenient for riveting. The core rivet can show its unique advantages in a relatively small space or in an environment where there is no rivet gun or a rivet gun cannot be used. Two or more connected parts can be riveted successfully by hitting the mandrel on one side with a hammer or other utensils. Core rivets can be divided into oblate head core rivets and countersunk head core rivets according to the shape of the brim of the nail cap. According to the combination of materials, they can be divided into all aluminum core rivets, aluminum steel core rivets, and all stainless steel core rivets. Rivets, steel rivets, aluminum stainless steel rivets, plastic rivets, etc. The core rivet does not have to be riveted with a manual riveting gun or a pneumatic riveting gun like the blind rivet, and has better riveting and convenience, and can be widely used in the riveting of various connected parts.
